Welcome to the Biggar Area Smallholders (BASH) website. We are a group of like minded people all of whom work the land in some way. The smallholdings we run are diverse, some are small others quite large, some grow only vegetables others have significant amounts of livestock. Some are totally organic others use chemicals to a greater or lesser degree . All of us support each other both with knowledge and equipment along with the social contact of like minded individuals and a network.
Have a look at our smallholdings section where you can see the variety of smallholdings that are part of the group, and you can see some of the work being done.
In the newsletter section you can get a flavour for what we have been doing and what we have planned, see if anything takes your fancy. BASH meetings are generally members only, but the other meetings are often open to all.
Our links and resources page is just as it says, links to other websites that we have found useful and resources other than the internet, so books we find useful and other information we have gained over the years that you may find useful.
